EKU Launches Online Child & Family Studies Degree

EKU Online now offers a fully online bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies with a concentration in Child Development. Credit hours count toward the child development associate credential (CDA) and may be applied toward state credentials.*

The program offers two practicum experiences to help students identify their true calling within the profession. Coursework includes both child development and family studies and incorporates NAEYC professional preparation standards.

Online students will earn the same degree, from the same EKU instructors as on-campus students.

Career options for the degree include early childhood educator (birth through age 8), family resource center representative, administrator, quality rating evaluator, curriculum specialist, after-school teacher, assessment specialist, professional development coordinator, court designated specialist, practitioner, caregiver, provider, home visitor.
